The image “https://i0.wp.com/www.bmmspark.com/images/DoNotEnter_small.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. As we partner with the web’s best on-line brands, we further emphasize our ability to deliver high quality results within their pages. Our objective is to provide all of our partners, big or small, with the highest quality results possible. Spammers are a clever sort and staying ahead of their techniques is a daunting task. I’m proud of how well we stay ahead of spammers, but adult content represents a different challenge since it may be legitimate — but inappropriate for partner sites. Making sure this content doesn’t display in partner sites is paramount to creating a good user experience for their readers. After some heads-down work, I’m happy to inform you that we’ve developed, tested and integrated an adult-content tagger and filter into our crawler. This joins our keyword-based filtering system, giving us a two-tied approach for eliminating adult and obscene content from our partner widgets.

While we’re using over 30 variables in this new system we do see occasional false positives and negatives. Since the tagger was designed for future tuning please send us any examples (URL to scout AT sphere.com) of things slipping through and we’ll adjust accordingly.

Thanks for your continuing support in our mission to make Sphere delight you.
